      Current artificial hearts are not intended to be long-term solutions, but instead be a temporary way to keep someone alive when their heart fails, but a donor heart is unavailable.

      having to carry a battery that I need to have plugged into my heart for it to work is literally nightmare fuel for me though, there’s so many ways I could imagine myself unplugging it accidentally, breaking the battery or breaking the cable
