Just kind of realizing that this nursery rhyme is a ripoff of the Myth of Sisyphus, which is a way better story to tell children.
I recently picked up a factory job where I have to push heavy ass carts around all night. I’ve been thinking about Sisyphus a lot lately, but I know that if I get past this part the job turns into an idle game so that’s cool

Where are you from that you learnt it as ‘itsy bitsy’? I always was taught the rhyme ‘incy wincey’ spider.
It’s a pollution from “itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow poker dot bikini”. Human information and knowledge is all being boiled down into a gelatinous soup of half-know faint memory that can never be relied upon.
Maybe, I’ve only heard “itsy bitsy” my whole life (American)
