Various messages in the ongoing “Canada Invasion” Signal thread include: • plans to invade Vancouver and Toronto simultaneously, “because they’re right next to each other” • a refusal to include Danielle Smith in the text chain due to the Alberta Premier “being too pick-me”

    I’m howling 🤣🤣🤣

Considering the stupidity and utter banality of most conservatives, I just took this all in stride as unusual but not unexpected, clear until the beaver at the bottom of the article (I was on mobile, and got a Reader-sanitized version). Damn, satire isn’t even registering as such with me anymore.

Holy fuck shit. I’m already so on edge and I read this shit. It’s harder and harder to decipher satire from reality at a glance anymore.

Texting would be so impersonal. The polite way to do things is to accidentally hand over the documents in person.

He’s a little busy at the moment handing over our documents to the Russians.

Putin prefers a personal, intimate touch.
