agony-shivering LIKE SHUT THE FUCK UP, WHY ARE THEY FUCKING SIMPING FOR ME, THEY’VE INTERACTED WITH ME THREE TIMES AND THEY LITERALLY CALLED ME M’LADY TWO OF THOSE TIMES AND THE OTHER TIME IT WAS A COLD DM FROM A COMPLETE STRANGER

      It’s a new age m’lady.

Back in the day, redditors used m’lady to be condescending towards cis women and be their cringey idea of “classy” alongside wearing a fedora. That kind of thing is pretty dead.

Nowadays, chasers say m’lady to virtue signal to trans girls that they see them as their real gender. This is all the rage rn, I see it all the time from trans girl reply guys. Same vibe of “look i’m showing you basic courtesy now will you show me your tits” though. Also kind of an uncomfortable indirect emphasis on someone’s trans-ness if that makes sense.

I’m pretty sure they’re a kid so I decided against including screenshots or anything, if they keep it up I’ll just block and report them

Fair enough, though might be a good idea to report sooner than later. If they are a kid then maybe they’ll learn something from it. Actually, the blahaj mods would probably take their side kitty-cri-screm

Wtf, I just saw that comment. I thought the transphobia issue was just isolated to the old 196 post.

      CW: Transphobia spoiler

It is presumptuous to think that you speak for the trans community as a whole

You may have a distaste for verbiage

In essence, your take on what is and isn’t phobic, is in and of itself, phobic.

I’m going to report it to see if anything actually happens. You never said you spoke for all of the trans community, and the person replying to you seems to think they are allowed to

Edit: It actually got removed, I don’t see it anymore

Holy moly, that is such a garbage response lol. It just became very obvious to me in the past year or so just how much people will spew the most meaningless takes and try to pass it off as intelligent because they have a decent vocabulary. Just because you use the word “verbiage” does not mean that you know what you’re talking about

My friend’s band would sometimes have shows in the city V**sh is from so there is a chance, however small, that I shoved him in the pit a decade ago. I mean it probably never happened. But it would be funny if it did!

The wording seems to suggest that the v**shite accuser isn’t calling them transphobic but “chaserphobic”, but knew not to write it out like that because it would make more obvious how stupid and disgusting their assertion was

That specific reply user is also one of the most vocally upset about the admin defederating from lemmynsfw over CSAM concerns.

Again, every LGBT person I’ve met in the real world, including myself, hates “chasers”. Trans women and trans men hate them, bisexual women hate them for trying to find a “unicorn”, lesbians hate those clingy straight guys that think they can “convert” them, gay guys hate those straight women that always hang around and think they can make weird sexual jokes and think it’s fine because they’re gay.

Me and my friends make jokes at the expense of these people all the time. Being pro chaser seems to be a terminally online phenomenon.

When they were just on Reddit, 196 seeming to be a community of mostly children at times being encouraged to be horny and fetishize trans folk was at least a bit yikes which is why I never engaged with them.

HB jokes about the volcel vanguard a lot, but there’s a kernel of truth for how much less horny this instance is which is good for discouraging chaser behavior.

volcel police is a joke with a point. I keep it up to try to keep the horny posting limited to one or two comments. Ace comrades have expressed unease with hornyposting in the past, so, volcel police.

There was a lot of chaser stuff on the old subreddit which always I always found kind of gross even as a non-trans person. Plus a lot of people who were very horny for like AOC and Tulsi Gabbard.

There’s a reason that the volcel police bit was developed over there, and a lot of that shit has gotten purged over here over time

Hahaha I remember when tulsi posted a pic of herself doing yoga and a bunch of people ended up getting real horny for it. There also, it seemed to me, seemed to be a population of people promoting voting for tulsi in the primaries, seemingly based on nothing except that she wasn’t joe Biden and they were horny for her
