The internet has ruined me. I spent way too long looking for Sadaam.

This reminds me of the old, I think Windows 95, wall paper but updated for today.

A fair amount more interesting than mildly to me, it’s crazy „we“ came up with a way to make them this densely packed

I could be wrong here but the chips i usually look at under the scope are not quite this colorful, so i think this one is post processed. Its a pretty wide shot so this should still just be an optical microscope not an electron one.

Yes. This looks more like a screenshot of physical design software to me.

We etched special runes onto polished sand so that we control how lightning moves through it, so that it could seem like an intelligent mind of its own.

It’s crazy to me that the feature sizes on chips are smaller than the wavelength of visible light. Chip designers have not been able to inspect their work under a regular microscope for decades.

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it’s too interesting, it doesn’t belong. If it’s not interesting, it doesn’t belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh… what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don’t spam.
