I’m always torn on these discussions because we know there are people in Texas (and other conservative states) that are too poor to get the boot of capitalism off their neck. I think things would get even worse for that cohort if Texas were to secede and could really let their racism run wild.

The government would never let Texas leave the union, and if by some miracle they actually did I’m sure those weapons and facilities would be forcibly repatriated.
Texas can’t even keep their own lights on, I think it would be hilarious to watch them try to go it alone. But it won’t ever happen.
