Okay So. I made this space https://lemmy.world/c/usauthoritarianism
I’ve made a couple like it on various platforms, but I wasn’t the first. It’s like an anarchist adjacent BLM-Agiprompt kind of deal. Anyways. So the owlbear shows up one day -he’s like, an administrator “for Lemmy’, or something? He just shows up as the administrator of the group one day. Unannounced, just he’s in charge now. Looking back I think like I got their attention originally by you know I would moderate by just looking at whatever got reported and nine times at a 10 I just be like yeah that’s fine and that would be that. Looking back I think what ended up happening was that I accidentally left the group. Like I just clicked on the unsubscribe button because it’s over right under the post button or whatever and boom that was it orphaned group. But like you know, I was still moderating it. I was still there. You couldn’t just show up and be awful. I would shout anyone that did that down and that works just fine for groups under 2-5 thousand.
so yeah my My thing against chunky Albert is not personal in anyway, but I am now banned from this group you know because I’m a menace fuck you . I’m just coming back to this and be like-
TLDR Hey do I actually have any recourse here? This sucks .

This post is better suited for Ye Power Tripping Bastards over at dbzer0.
no it’s not. I am the power tripping bastard in this situation. Looking for answers to how Lemmy works.
ChonkyOwlbear is not an admin, but was appointed a moderator of that community seven months ago by an admin, and it seems that you were removed as a moderator by an admin at the same time. The admins of an instance receive all the same reports that moderators do, so they see all reports for all communities. If they feel a community is being unmoderated, they may appoint a moderator. So, it seems they thought you weren’t properly moderating the community. You were added back as a moderator at some point, and then removed again a few months later. So it looks like ChonkyOwlbear gave you a chance to co-moderate for about three months, after an admin had removed you.
Further, it seems all this actually happened quite a while ago now.
I think a community like this is better served by dbzer0 (the instance I am from). Might want to pack up and move there, if possible. Lemmy.world skews very neoliberalish.
