MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell broke down in court this week, telling a judge he has no money left to pay the sanctions imposed against him in a defamation case brought by voting technology company Smartmatic.

“I’m in ruins,” Lindell said tearfully during a virtual hearing before U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols on Wednesday, according to a report from ABC News. “I borrowed everything I can. Nobody will lend me any money anymore.”

Lindell was ordered to pay $56,369 in sanctions to Smartmatic, which sued him for defamation in 2022 over his baseless claims that the company helped rig the 2020 presidential election against Donald Trump.

Oh, shit, I guess somebody actually did get consequences. I wonder if this guy’s problem is that he didn’t realize it’s all a grift.

Musk is getting close to being in their shoes, Elon is a better grifter though and probably doesn’t trust trump.

The past few months have probably just been a party for musk. He doesn’t give a fuck, and he’s got enough fail upwards magic to be fine after all this ends.

But i would absolutely love to see him end up reenacting Rudys fall.

I think musk might actually be stuoid enough to lose it all. His companies have all profited off first mover advantage and we’re now seeing with Tesla that he is too incompetent to leverage first mover status to his advantage.

His pivot to AI is also a strong sign that he is past his prime of jumping into any new first mover companies. Realistically, that was the only thing he had been able to do but only twice and with many times as many failures.

Every indication is that xAI or whatever the fuck he’s calling it is heading for a flop and I hope he goes all in on it.

I know what he can do. Set up an Only Fans of him crying about how bad he has it. He can charge a dollar a month and before you know it, he’ll be able to pay some of his creditors.

Let’s all remember that this is part of the theater. Mike Lindell is not broke, and has access to all the money he needs. Mike Lindell won’t miss a meal, or sacrifice any comfort. He doesn’t want to pay the money he owes, and crying before thd judge is a calculated disinformation campaign to make it seem like the reasonable people have scored a victory. You’ll recognize victory when you’re viewing it through the bars of a prison cell.

[Judge] Nichols asked Lindell on Wednesday for proof that he was in financial ruin. He described Lindell’s claims as “non-verifiable” and gave him until Friday to submit proof he was bankrupt.

Good. I bet the fucker has plenty of money stashed away.

Lindell told Nichols his only possessions were two homes and a truck he was trying to sell for cash.

Two homes, mother fucker, two. That’s two more than a lot of people. Judge needs to make him sell both homes and the truck and assign a forensic accountant to make sure he doesn’t have anything hidden anywhere. Leave him just enough to buy this place.

Dude was worth between 100-300 million at his peak. I don’t buy for a second that he’s broke. It’s probably all hidden in crypto or cocaine stashed under the floorboards.

Nah I think this rube not only gave all his liquid cash to daddy Trump throughout the early years he also borrowed against the value of his company at peak to donate more. Then when everyone found out he was a nazi and couldn’t sell pillows anymore the whole house of cards fell down around him.

That being said I hope he ends up in the gutter.

Same, but there’s no way in hell this type of psycho gave it all away. He stashed a couple million somewhere for a rainy day. That’s how these people work.

It’s only $57K. One of those houses ought to cover it. He can go fuck himself.

Nichols should raise the fine to $40k less than the value of both houses combined and teach this prick what destitute means.

That “nobody will lend me any money” statement also smacks of “I can’t get anyone else to pay this for me”, too.

          Bitch, it’s your penalty.

“I have nothing to hide,” Lindell reportedly told Nichols. “I want Smartmatic to see the financial situation I’m in as well.”

Your financial situation is wholly irrelevant. Jesus fuck, these people.

I guess his accomplices never told him: you only get to avoid consequences if you’re wealthy.

I kid, of course. I am sure he said this after leaving his 500k-1mil valued house, and driving to the court in an audi. Sorry, pal, but you might just have to give a couple things up until you tug those bootstraps a little harder. It’s what you’d tell anyone else living outside of their means and committing crimes to do.

Oh no, wait, you wouldn’t. You’d look for a way to tie them to a minority group and ask ICE to come pick them up. Fucking fascist.

You need more upvotes. You’re aggressive, harsh, and direct with your words.

But also correct. More people need to be harsh towards this type of behavior. Why are societies kid gloves still on?
