He wants to run again, but really, he wants to not need to run at all. Just dictator for life, which is probably not very long considering his age and health. Putin is his model for how “free and fair” elections should go.

I have faith that our Constitution will weather this and also no Republican will sit in the oval office in 2028.

Given his tanking popularity, he might be better off ordering the Trump 2032 hats alongside this and get a bulk discount.

Does everyone remember during Trump’s first presidency, President Xi had just made himself president for life. Trump brought this up at a rally and said “maybe we should try that” and the crowd cheered. It was never a joke. Everything he says is testing the waters to see what reaction he’ll get. Now there’s a group trying to get him elected to a 3rd term. I think a Republican congressman or two is also pushing for this.

Remember the progression with his election denial as well.

Jan. 6, 2021 and there were just a handful of plants who would try to object to the counting, before all hell broke loose, while the rest think they’re being savvy and staying in their base’s good graces while not taking flak by not denouncing it. Four years later, and they don’t bat an eye when the literal insurrectionists that nearly killed them are all pardoned, and nobody will even go on record calling it anything but Trump’s version.

By 2028, expect to see lockstep party agreement on this, as well as plans to actually do it - whether allowed or not - already well underway.

this is how he operates… he denies, then jokes, then encourages others to joke, then when they do he gets serious, then act like everyone was always serious.

this man will NEVER willingly give up a shred of power.

Turns out it’s nowhere near as complicated as everyone said it would be to change the constitution. All you’ve got to do is buy yourself a Supreme Court.

and ignore them because they’re incapable of enforcing anything. Turns out half of our representatives are nazis and the other half are spineless cowards.

        They’re not cowards.

They’re collaborators, getting rich off it just as much as the others.

Nah, turns out you don’t actually have to change it at all. If nobody is willing to enforce the rules laid out in the Constitution, then it’s just a worthless scrap of paper that means nothing. He can just do whatever he wants now, nothing matters.

The Supreme Court has often stood against him and is now. He thought he could buy them, you thought he could buy them, they don’t agree with either of you.

Well, running for president isn’t really running if the result is already fixed. So you have that going for you.

As an adjudicated insurrectionist, he’s disqualified under the 14th amendment from holding his office. We’re already past that line.

Even if he isn’t going to run, why would he not try to sell such hats and t-shirts? It’s money in the bank.
