Despite progress in several EU member states, conversion practices remain legal in some countries, and even promoted, like in Poland or Hungary, putting thousands of people at risk of psychological trauma, social rejection, and physical abuse.

    This is an European Citizens’ Initiative which only needs 60,000 50,000 30,000 0 more signatures with a deadline of TOMORROW!

    It’s reached the 1 million, but you can still sign if you haven’t! There are bound to be some invalid ones.

      I’ve been keeping an eye on it off and on over the past year. The sudden speed at which the petition is going has gotten me quite hopeful that we might make the threshold of 1.000.000 signatures.

      Yesterday we were averaging about 12.000 signatures per hour.
      Currently we seem to be averaging about 20.000 signatures per hour.

      It’s getting so much attention that the website appears to be suffering a natural DDOS 🏳️‍🌈

        Huge thanks to the French for over 900% of required signatures which is much higher than any other country, they’re pretty much always in the “recent signatories” list! <3

          It’s a French initiative, so it makes sense that their share of the vote is outsized compared to the other countries.
          The organizers are likely not sitting idle at home.
