I’m playing with self-hosting OpenWebUI/Ollama, which cause my GPU fan to spin up whenever my wife/son/me make a chat interaction.
Now the fan spin serves as your notification alert.
I like how in escalation of severity a cat meowing is above kids destroying the house.
You can stop a kind from destroying a house. Have you ever stopped a cat from meowing?
Our cat only has a temporary mute feature if we pick him up.
It can also depend on the meow.
I know the difference between chatty/playful meows and “I’m scared” meows for my lot. I’ll sleep through the first, but the second rips me out of my sleep. I can’t sleep for shit through thunderstorms anymore because one gets absolutely terrified and fearcries.
I swear that one of these days they’ll manage to find a sound that’ll give us a heart attack while we sleep.
If cats are ever attacked by a drone swarm armed with tasers, you’ll hear it.
Even worse, a soft “bzzzt, click click click” from a hard drive (shudder)
I fucking hate the sounds these fancy dancy helium drives make, always triggering me, but I’m told it’s perfectly normal sounds -_-
