The life of Australia's largest oil and gas project will be extended to 2070, with Environment Minister Murray Watt giving the long-awaited environmental approval for Woodside's North West Shelf project.

Corruption has become a bit of a new normal in the us and it’s (unofficially) controlled territories it seems

What territories are you unofficially referring to?

What leads you to believe that American controls Australia and not China? Or its self ?

It’s far from absolute control. I figured adding a bunch of nuance wasn’t quite what op was looking for

I’d say maybe 2% more control then any other major player, probably even less with the chaos at the moment, Yer we’re a few steps away from op by now lol

Pine gap, useless $300 bn tribute subs, not updating travel advice for the USA, David McBride. This is but a short list.

I’m interested in the your reasoning? Why pine gap? A shared spy base built in the 60ies ? The aukus deal? Might not even go ahead last I heard of it. Whats McBride’s connection?

First I will digress that I had jumped to a conclusion earlier without putting in any research at all, then again I’m not a journo

Not all hope is lost, I was just listening to the radio, ABC RN, https://www.abc.net.au/listen/programs/the-radio-national-hour/the-radio-national-hour/105304380 Something along the lines of they don’t have enough gas to get that far and need access to a new gas field that hasn’t been approved yet.
