Excellent article. And yeah, if the war continues to escalate one of two things is gonna happen: the end of Western hegemony and the current economic paradigms (I have savings in dollars still so I’m going down with some of you, boys!) or the end of/an almost deadly blow to BRICS.
I think it will depend on the same thing as Ukraine war: victory. If Iran fall, hard times ahead for antiimperialism. If Iran withstand, hard time ahead for imperialism.
I think so but maybe it ain’t so simple. Maybe it’s theater before ‘normalization’ with Israel, as it slowly stops being America’s pet project and becomes more integrated with the region? After all, the war appeases the moral side of the world after Israel/the USA took some hits, and it provides that pale devil Netanyahu excuses to remain in power and avoid the court for now plus it allows him to exit power more gracefully (“after decades of Middle Eastern aggression, I have reached a deal with them!”). We shall see.
seems like a lot of wish casting about other BRICS members doing or caring or saying anything about this. But I agree that whatever plays out with Iran is what the rest of the BRICS members have in store. So far it seems like the rest of the world will just fold to the US as usual. Since most of the world is run by capitalists who only care about their own wellbeing.
Yeah I fear this will be the case as well. They’re probably going to bomb the living shit out of Tehran now. Honestly Iran made a mistake of not escalating while all their forces were intact, for some reason they assumed that the USA was a rational actor. I’m guessing that China must know that they’re next on the hit list though.
