Anybody has a recommendation for an app that might replace spotify? I have been using spotube for a while, but now it has some issues. And usually there is a issue that props up every few weeks or so.

Before this I was using a hacked version of spotify, which used to work quite well. But then was soon out of date and couldn’t find another reliable version somehow. Perhaps someone here has it?

Ive just moved to revanced yt music. It was an annoying shift. But this is reliable. Much more reliable and consistent

Same here, ytm rvx extended. What I like so much more than back on spotify are the recommended songs in the autoplay list. Spotify’s algorithm just doesn’t click with my taste.

Ah yea, i was using libre tube/music. Which woukd work great, but was tricky to move the playlists from Spotify and also the recommendations were not the best. How do you get around this?

I didnt rely on convenient moving, built everything up again. Luckily it was quick for me.

Found no good way to shift stuff

Where did you download it from? I don’t see it on f-droid or aurora. I see you can download it from their website, but is that secure?

Get the revanced manager from the website (there are many fakes I’ll give you the link)

Then download an apk of the yt app, again online, then paatxh it using the revanced manager.

Only do this if you feel safe with it.

I actually just had this problem a couple weeks back. I was using revanced spotify but I had to keep re-patching it because it kept breaking. Eventually, I became so frustrated I said fuck spotify and found ViTune which is a fork of ViMusic (which is now defunct).

It workes exactly how I would want a music app to work. No accounts, no algorithms, just search for the song you want. You might get a playback error if you’re using a VPN, but that’s literally the only complaint I have about it.

Xmanager on mobile and spotx on desktop

I don’t mind the ads on desktop tooooo much but they started playing one single ad over and over and over and over again for two week. Enough is enough

I’d throw Spicetify into the ring for desktop. The dev team is always pretty quick to fix breakages and post info on their Discord. Between themes and plugins (including adblock) I can’t recommend it enough.

Another option: I used zotify to rip my playlists directly from Spotify and then transferred to my phone

I had the same struggle. Repatching or downloading modded APKs became annoying. But there is a way. Happy to DM about it.

At the moment I’m using echo with the Spotify plugin together with YouTube music and deezer. So if one plugin breaks I have my playlist on another service. But Spotify breaks pretty regularly.

At some point I just need to put my music on my media server(most I already own legally). It will be more reliable then Spotify hacks, but finding new music is just better on the service’s

Metrolist is pretty good. It’s a YouTube Music frontend similar to InnerTune, but way less buggy in my experience.
