They recently started sending newsletter emails (hit my spam, thank God) that were super excited to let us know about his friends sharing “rare insight” into the “real Peter Dutton” which was just a fucking wild thing to hear.
Like if your leader requires “rare insight” for people to think he’s not an ethically bankrupt sociopath/crypto christiofascist then jesus christ.

Just letting you know that your Mastodon @'s sometimes don’t reach their intended target. We were playing around with it the other day and were only getting notifications on direct replies or auto completion in Lemmy.

Just in case we aren’t on the same page, BNE would get your a notification to your reply, Tassietosser would not have. The @s just dont notify.
You could see my auto complete for Tassietosser, they would have got that one in their inbox.

Only the person you reply to gets the notification. The @s don’t seem to work at all.
I can autocomplete a name in the PWA for Lemmy which is a markdown hyperlink which notifies. So I can @ a number of people with that method from here.
I’ll add a screenshot of the process when I’m adding you. I click on your name to complete. I’m not sure if I can call you in with an @ from another reply. Maybe. I’ll reply to myself in another thread somewhere and see if you get it.
