So this is what I have decided. I have moved the watch to the bony part of my wrist. It’s not tight. I can still get a finger in there. When it needs to be charged I will give it a clean also. I’m giving it one more chance before I swap the band over. I have already selected the band I want. It better behave.

Got through first night of training. Pretty happy to have made a start. A lot of stuff I already knew and the rest of it feels like marketing. But hey good to have made a start on a formal qualification I guess. Even if it is foundational. Not sure I’m up for the full administrator cause with a baby in the house.

Today is absolutely dragging in the office.

Only a bit more to go, but holy shnikes I’m suffering here.

The group of cacklers are within earshot too.

It was a very long and overwhelming day for me back at work. The worst thing in the end was we all elected to have a shorter lunch time to leave earlier.

We ended up finishing at the original time stated and not earlier while sacrificing a longer lunchtime.

      That was an ass move.

Just listened to Shorten roasting Dutton and Morrison on ABC radio. Oh, what could’ve been. He deserved his shot at PM.

Just imagine the shit that LNP would have thrown at a Labor govt trying to deal with COVID. It would have been rabid and divisive (just like it was in Vic).

I remember how strangely quiet they were when SA and Tas were implementing the same policies as Vic.

It’s cold and dark out there, but I’m going to brave it with Mr Woof to get first walkies done. Then I can follow up with some nice hot porridge for breakfast.

Yep… it isn’t what I’d consider abnormally bad. Has been a lot better but not for a while.

We had the worst time with one recently. Promised to come like 5 different times and just never showed. Partner kept reorganising and eventually I was like, he’s not ever coming I think we just need to move on.

    (vent)

Stayed late at work by accident and busted my hump trying to catch my “backup” bus that gets me home relatively early. Waited here since the PTV app said “arriving in 5 minutes” then it counted down and said “Now” for about two minutes, then ticked over to 21 minutes. No bus went by in either direction.

Also this bus stop I’m at doesn’t have a bench or anything.

Oh, I just remembered I missed my normal bus to work this morning, too. Looks like I’ve got a case of the Mondays!

Ugh I hate that. Happened when I was waiting for a tram to Caulfield on Saturday. It’s like ticking down and then … Nothing.

Also I wish there was somewhere where we can tell ptv to get seats or whatever at bus stops. My local one doesn’t have a seat, which sure sucks but eh, but trying to get on the bus is annoying and they can only lean down so far. Feels like I’m taking two steps to get on it.

Buses are the biggest trolls of the PTV network. That includes the “smart” buses. I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me before too, in the cold dark rain. Don’t miss it at all.

Once a colleague was dropping me off at a bus stop early and we saw my ("smart ") bus just about to leave well ahead of what the app said, and when I explained how unreliable the things are my colleague just gunned it and beat the bus in heavy traffic to drop me off a few stops later so I would definitely get on that bus.

I’ve been trying to get my wife to ditch her dying phone for months now. Some woman just paid for her crumpets and deodorant at the supermarket cause the NFC didn’t work so she couldn’t pay. Why she didn’t carry her physical card with her if she knows the the phones iffy is beyond me. Thank you to the kind lady, but im dying of second hand embarrassment.

my partner is sort of doing the opposite. she has a phone with working NFC but carries her card around with her in the phone case because apparently it takes too long to add the card to google pay…

I had to force myself to get some work done today to prevent the rest of the week and next week from blowing up but I definitely need to take tomorrow and possibly Wednesday off because I feel like absolute death. Had a chat to one of my senior colleagues today about what happened last week and next steps because I need to feel like I’m taking action to get out of an unfulfilling dead end situation. But I also don’t want to burn bridges and leave people hanging
