Righty ho, plan of attack needed for today (to avoid accidentally playing video games all day, again).
Dog walk then an omlette for breakfast. Assignment due today to be finished, with as little angst as possible. Depending on how much time I waste agonising over the assignment I will hopefully have time to make a start on digging up new garden bed #2. Salad for lunch. Dog food to be mixed & divided for the freezer. Change the bed sheets. Pork roast for dinner.
This is doable. Tomorrow I can sow some more seeds, and plant out the spinach and lettuce seedlings.

Breakfast of cereal done and a cup of coffee. Had my sun for a bit this morning.
Taking refuge inside now and try and distract myself for the day and relax and clear my mind.
Though clearing my mind seems to be the hardest part.

Okay so I haven’t yet flashed a new ROM on my phone but I’m glacially getting there, backed up all images and downloads.
Also commenced an epic campaign of cleaning the house - not a true spring clean, but have relatives popping by this evening and they’d better not see the current state of my shower recess, esp as they might be staying here while I’m away. Plus it’ll be nice to come back to a clean house after my upcoming trip.
Helps work off the anxiety about what kind of response I might get back from work on Monday. It doesn’t affect me as much as before as I’m almost done with that part of my life now but you know, it’s not easy to completely rewire the neural circuitry that tries to cope with easily angered people in positions of authority
Which ROM?
Switching from an extremely old/abandoned resurrection remix (still running android 7 lmao) to Lineage 20. I need to do a total factory reset.
I have LineageOS 20 on my tablet and iodéOS (which is a fork of LineageOS) on my phone. They both run great so hopefully you have a similar experience and can enjoy your 7 year update! Good luck!
I regret not backing up the old rom like I was supposed to when I did this. :(
The main thing I’m afraid of is bricking the phone. Don’t care as much which ROM I end up using as long as it is recent enough and decent enough…
The ROM I tried didn’t work and I didn’t have a backsies backup of the original ROM. Now I have a brick.
Assignment update: need more coffee
Edit: coffee aquired. Unfortunately it refuses to write my assignment for me and I still need to do it myself.
If only coffee was so wondrous it could do that.
It can do a lot of things but sadly not that :(

I have fallen in to the too much coffee trap before, and only allow myself more than my initial morning dose in exceptional circumstances. Fortunately the extra jitteryness of the caffeine seems to have worked and I managed to plough through the rest of the assignment. I might do a quick review before I submit it this evening, but I can now relax. Just in time for my next subject to start tomorrow!

What would you call it? I kept our TV and Music communities deliberately Australian. Someone in the USA looking for a “music” community is never going to find /c/rage. Do you want to do something similar or would you call it something that will attract International engagement?

I would call it Food Australia. I don’t know the first thing about moderating. I have trouble working out my TV control. Could I mod from my phone? What would moderating entail? I had trouble starting the dt before Bot #1 arrived. Like seriously 5 year olds know more than me.

As to how to mod, it’s pretty easy. Find a picture/icon you want to give it. Optional: Make up some rules or write up some sort of explanation for what the Community is for.
You can do this from a browser on your phone, but I don’t think any of the apps have this feature. I recommend doing this from a large screen if possible. As for day-to-day modding, those requests are super rare. I get reports that any Aussie.zone user makes for any community in the fediverse (or any user at all makes for an aussie.zone post) and that amounts to maybe 2-3 spam posts per day. Usually for a kbin post. In short, you won’t likely have any reports to worry about. I never get reports against local people.
