I wish we knew more about which politicians pushed this through, what they were thinking and what their comments are on how this turned out. Did this actually solve the problem they intended. Is there something here we don’t know that would make everything make sense if we knew? What are the facts?
Looks like Denmark too
What do you even do in a situation like this? If I saw my child fall from a ferry there is no way I wouldn’t jump in after even if I knew it was certain death. I can’t imagine living on just doing nothing!
I’m excited about the fact that people who are anti-corporate usually are the same people that will moderate and build community for free just because they want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. If all content creators and moderators find their home here Reddit will only have takers and lurkers left!
I know I’m being naive but I’m enjoying my little dream of utopia 😄
I’m currently trying out the app wefwef which is inspired by Apollo for the fediverse. I’m surprised how much better it makes browsing the fediverse feel compared to native browser sites. This gave me a lot of hope for the future here. I’m also a fan of the Memmy App which I’m also testing!
I love the idea! Do you know if there are any apps doing the same for iOS? Would love to contribute!
This was a fantastic read. Thank you so much for sharing it! I’ve started my own lemmy instance in hopes of making an instance available for “everybody” in my region, having the local culture as our common ground. But this helped me realize that it might maybe need a thought or two before pushing forward. Those who I thought would be a part of it aren’t those who would maybe want to give up traditional service for one fighting for freedom, ethics and morals.
Så bra at det går så bra for de imens vi betaler blodpriser for mat
