I remember reading a while back that after the travesty of the localization of Pom Poko Miyazaki refused to let them change the script because how much they disrespected the film.

Especially with some aspects of the film they added things to try to make it a bit easier to understand for western audiences, like when she first sees the bathhouse, in Japan nobody would need it spelled out, but in the west it does so in the dub she says “it’s a bathhouse.” It’s likely dumbed down more since in the US animation=children.

It’s a spoiler in a story where spoilers can legitimately ruin your experience, but you’ll notice it in the theming as the story progresses.

3. Umineko no Naku Koro ni - The story focuses on a group of eighteen people on a secluded island for a period of two days, and the mysterious murders that befall them. Readers are challenged to discern whether the murders were committed by a human or some other, supernatural source, as well as the method and motive behind them.

4. 10/10 - amazing

It made decent enough second monitor viewing while playing minecraft but I never felt the magic where other people were super into it. It just felt like pretty generic high school love comedy stuff with a different approach to it. I have to assume the social awkwardness just resonated with a bunch of people.

The most infamous of the bunch is SBF of the FTX fraud fame. Essentially their entire schtick is that they have to become ultra wealthy so they can donate more money and thus be more effective with their altruism. They usually end up working finance and arguing that since they make a lot of money and their donations are bigger they’re better off than if they were doing a more useful job and not giving even a small portion of what they were.

I sorta felt this when I lived in Japan going from a sorta urban environment to a farm and back on my commute home and going on the roads that had the plants right next to it was obviously more humid on those really warm days.

I can see it clearly on my unit, I have people that’ll take it seriously, people that refuse to mask, and people that refuse to mask and vaccinate. We don’t have a problem once we have a confirmed case since at that point it’s just PPE enforcement and opinions go out the door.

The ruling class has abandoned all pretenses and people are moving on and just accepting that this is reality for healthcare now and no matter what you do, it finds its way back over and over and over again.

The at home test kits are like $25 for 2 and I just kinda went for it because at the time I had nothing left at home and I needed something immediate. Spent 50 on two boxes for 4 tests total. Got like 12 from work the other day for free so that kinda sucks. Also really has me wondering just how much money we spent on test kits alone at work to swab my unit 3 times after an exposure event. Would’ve cost close to 1700 from the store for just like 40 people. Fucking highway robbery

Watching a video on FNAF: Security Breach the guy had a pretty good system for measuring, first delay shows that they care about polish and are okay taking a bit more time for it to cook, second time signifies significant management issues where they’ve now missed their deadline twice and you should probably start feeling uneasy, after two delays, just throw your expectations in the garbage and just pray that it comes out at all.
