Und dass Dispatch einen Fehler machen kann ist doch überhaupt sogar ein Argument dafür. Das bedeutet, dass etwas manuell von einem Menschen gesteuert ist und somit Fehleranfällig.

Menschen machen sehr viel mehr Leichtsinnsfehler als Automation. Bei Automation wird ein gravierender Fehler in den meisten Fällen genau einmal gemacht. Bei menschlichem Versagen immer wieder.

Beides ist auch ohne Automation ein Problem. Bäume sieht man viel zu spät um dafür zu bremsen, Züge haben sehr viel mehr Bremsweg als Sichtweite. Und Menschen sollen sich da nicht aufhalten. Ich weiß, ist makaber, aber wer sich am Gleis aufhält ist selbst Schuld.

Das stimmt schon. Deshalb sind Bahnübergänge wichtig, da kann mit entsprechender Wahrscheinlichkeit tatsächlich etwas auf den Gleisen sein was ein Problem verursachen kann.
