she also made me the only worker at the front in the morning, so i was running back and forth between my checkout lane and helping demeaning old people at self-checkout. soul crushing anxiety type shit
I remember my brief time at Target, my manager hated me but he couldn’t get rid of me because of how short staffed we were. One time I remember I was walking towards customer service from a checkout lane, and he started yelling at me to run, and when I kept walking at a totally normal pace he got literally red-in-the-face angry and wrote me up for it.
Then they wanted to do the meeting where I signed the writeup after my shift was over. LMAO shoulda said something fifteen minutes ago - I already punched out and nothing short of a gun to my head will stop me from going to my car right now. Didn’t get fired like I really thought I was going to but I did stop showing up to that job unannounced when I got something better a couple months later.
