    It’s so wild how normalized that shit was for so long. A cursed fact I know off the top of my head is that CP wasn’t criminalized in the US until the 70s, so the boomers grew up with it being totally legal.

        Back in the 70s all this pedo shit was just out in the open in the West. I once saw an old US lip gloss ad targeted at young girls, which had a sexualized pre-teen girl wearing make-up in her undies with some very creepy “baby girl” marketing surrounding the whole thing. visible-disgust

        At least in here in Europe, there were also movies released in theater back then that had CP in them. I remember reading about one movie that was eventually banned in some Western countries after people complained, but you could still go to any West German theater and watch your Italian kiddie porn there. germany-cool

        I once had a boomer tell me that back in the day you could just walk into a video rental store, and it would have a dedicated CP section. All very normal! very-normal
