Got woken up by the junkies having a door slamming and screaming competition.

I’m so over this shit. 2k a month to deal with this is an absolute joke.

Remind me? Was it you that was moving back closer to the city? (Eek, yeah it’s wild paying mortgage prices for rent.)

Yep that’s me. I was planning on staying here till I bought a place around May. But the isolation and shitty neighbours have got me running for the hills.

I was looking at that rent and trying to reply to ask how they’d got something so cheap 😢

Over $5k a month in rent here.

Edit: my reply was going to be something along the lines of “makes friends with the neighbours and have a fun time, and enjoy those prices!”

What are you renting? (If you don’t mind me askin?)

I mean I don’t have a family to support so I don’t need anything big (but my toys/hobbies would beg to differ).

Oh, reminds me of my old place! Had a very similar set up. Downsizing is super tough.

Without revealing too much, are you in a higher SE area? It still sounds like a lot?

Oh, haha, I see. (I meant higher socio-ec, but it has definitely gotten expensive.)

Were they big sharehouses? I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $1500 give/take utilities?

Typically they were huge houses with dual kitchens and had a decent home gym etc, my last room in a share house had a walk in robe, private bathroom and a private balcony for example. So again, I knew it was on the more pricey side but still…

Also noticed you’d removed my suburb location in your reply after I deleted my comments which was a nice touch that didn’t go unnoticed, so thank you. I’ve mentioned where I live loadsa times but typically delete it after a few hours, it’s probs in my comment history on here when talking about local food haha.
