I don’t, but I’ve been with people. I doubt I’d get much value out of a subscription, personally. I don’t think it’s worthwhile unless you run a business, or have a very large family and the funds to buy gigantic bulk lots of food (and can use it before the use by)
$1.50 hotdogs are probs my standout tbh 😂 They also have cheaper fuel, and they’re building a new servo in the west atm, but I keep an eye on petrol spy and it seems like it’s routinely beaten on price, so while it’s usually the cheapest in the immediate area, it won’t be the cheapest if you drive 5-10km away or drive past a cheaper servo in your travels
They used to do a hot chocolate with marshmallows. That was good. Last time I had one was 7 years ago, so I dunno if they’re still around and worth it
I know American Costco also allows you discounted medications and glasses/eyecare as well, I don’t know if we have that here though
Also, sometimes they put coffins at the front entrance so it’s the first thing you see when you walk in. I thought that was funky
My aunt goes there for general shopping, but she does it twice a year and gets everything bulk. So stuff will last a good 6 months. Bulk TP, bulk essentials, bulk flour, dog food, etc.
I’ve never been but her next shop is in Feb iirc, and she wants to take me along and buy me bulk stuff as well, so my partner and I don’t have to struggle as much financially. I’ll let you know how it is :D
I don’t have membership but went with my bestie who does. Before you go you need to know your unit pricing in the regular stuff you would but there in bulk, because sometimes is not cheaper than a Coles worth special. It’s easy to spend a lot of money there on big stuff but not all of it is a bargain. And one visit was enough for me to work out I didn’t need a membership.
I got it once to buy a white goods item that Costco had which was a couple
hundred dollars cheaper than anywhere else. Membership was worth it just for that one purchase. I used it one other time for groceries that year, but I don’t have a large family so bulk goods are not that useful. My normal
shopping method is to keep an eye out for colesworth specials and buy extras of the things I regularly use. So Costco wasn’t useful for me for regular grocery shops, but if I had a big purchase to make I would check Costco prices against JB/good guys etc. If I lived quite close to one I might consider it for the discounted petrol though.
Does anybody here have a costco membership? What do you buy from there? What are some of the stand outs? Tell me everything.

Thank you for this.

That’s exactly what I’ll be getting but I wanted to know what else I should be looking at while I’m there.
My boss does. He buys cleaning related stuff for the business and gets the seafood (mostly salmon I think) for home.
