minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink6•edit-25 months agoSo PSA. If you want to use an IKEA gift card purchased online immediately, you can’t. What a joke. 48h. Edit: And ones bought in-store are 24h (as told to me by a staff member).
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish4•5 months agoAnti scammer measure I’ll bet. So dimwits won’t buy gift cards to pay for their parking infringements issued by the Australian Federal Police.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink3•5 months agoHaha, it’d be funny since these are for IKEA.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish2•5 months agoAlso, the Australian Federal Police don’t issue parking infringements or other small issue crimes. That’s for the state based cops. You’d think the scammers would actually read the home page of the websites they are mimicking. To add credibility.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink4•5 months agoRecently I was told by JB hifi as well that I couldn’t use their gift cards to buy other types of online credit for gaming services. Was told it was an anti scamming measure. Real shame as well as I often end up with JB gift cards.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish5•5 months agoMy son got a bunch of EB gift cards for a b-day a while back…couldn’t use them for PS or Steam cards. I get it…but at the same time I don’t.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink4•5 months agoThat’s strange. I’ve had no trouble using EB Gift cards for ps cards. I did it last month on the website.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish3•5 months agoReally? Maybe the policy changed. This was back in 2023 I think and in store. Haven’t tried since.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•5 months agoYep. If you still have the gift cards you could probably do it now. Website will only let you one one gift card per transaction but in store they’ll take multiple.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•5 months agoI rang up one of the stores just to check as well and they said you can redeem gift cards for ps store.
