The former German foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel has proposed offering Canada partial membership in the European Union. With the increasing far-right influence in the EU, Canada should steer well clear. Unless that’s something they’d like to contribute to themselves.

  The far right is currently collapsing here, and was never as prominent as in France or Germany in the first place.
