the United States does not recognize dual citizenship.

so if you get branded a criminal or terrorist, they’re coming after you. and they will absolutely threaten your second country into extradition if they want you bad enough

im a dual citizen myself but cant get my passports because im trans 🙃 that and broke as hell but still. id get stopped at the border because a guy with a fullass beard with a ‘F’ on their passport is considered fraud.

Move to a border state like Washington, get an enhanced driver license and cross into Canada? EDL functions like a passport for land crossings.

Not sure what sort of federal checks are done for issuing those and if it’s still possible, sorry

Wish I could lol. Broke as shit and I can’t just leave my family behind. Unfortunately to get Real ID I have to provide my citizenship documents but those are in my deadname + birth sex and I can’t get them fixed without a baseline of $1k (have to pay for at least 2 private doctors in the UK to verify I am my chosen gender, plus court fees and 18+ months processing time).

I know of a trans woman that was successfully able to get their passport recently.

          Please stay safe!

Thank you friend. Unfortunately because of how deep red my state and how stupid the UK is with this stuff I’m stuck. Just hunkering down and preparing for the worst.

The highly-skilled, educated, and non-crazy ones of working age are actually great for other countries’ economies. If you work at a gas station or are crazy, not so much.
