    The photos app on windows 11 is very good. It can read raw files and display them and has a pretty good auto-colour correct function. I wouldn’t uninstall it.

      Yeah, except it hangs when encountering some specific files via USB. It’s a known problem and they have not fixed it in 2 years or so.

        Windows 10 photo/image viewer sucks IMO, it can’t even preload images without bugging with the zoom, can’t even make a slideshow correctly lol.

          When I say Windows Photo Viewer I mean the old Windows 7 one. The one in Windows 10/11 is Microsoft Photos

        Windows Photo Viewer isn’t on Windows 11, I think that was for previous O/S systems like 10?

        Anyway, I think the default Windows 11 photos app is quite good like I said, as it’s able to preview my Nikon .NEF files without opening Adobe.
