What about those of us who think both equally as bad?

One of them is currently enabling the genocide of Palestinians. I’m not American though.

Either you all are being intentionally disingenuous, or you’re significantly misinformed. There’s a difference between passive support of a ally doing terrible things and actively starting a war yourself and doing terrible things.

Did you all suddenly forget about Ukraine?

Almost as if it’s in some countries’ interests for people to get distracted from following the war in Ukraine until Trump gets elected and that some people are deliberately using the situation in Gaza to do just that.

        “Passive support for genocide” 🤨

It ain’t even passive though, where do you think they are getting all the money and equipment??

I’ll concede this point. I meant in the sense that we’re not sending American troops over there. But I’ll concede I could be wrong on that too.

I’m not going to defend any support in any scale, regardless.

The US has sent “advisors” by the way.

I wasn’t aware of that, thank you. I’m still not supporting any of it anyways.

Honest question, is funnelling them money still passive support? I understand aid for Ukraine defending their soil, but I’m not ok with sending my money to help Israel do a genocide.

Thanks for being sincere. I only used the term passive in the sense that we’re not sending our own troops over to actively participate. I agree with you on the money transfer issue. I also consider it noteworthy that a lot of the legislation for Israel financial support not only excludes support for Ukraine, but requires the funds to be diverted from useful domestic purposes.

Ah yes, let’s deflect from my point entirely. Such good faith conversation on your part.

            What is your point?

Putin is bad, Biden is bad. For different reasons obviously. I live in Canada right now and I’d say Trudeau would be equally bad for supporting genocide.

My point is that you’re making a false equivalency by comparing the two and just saying they’re both bad. Adding Trudeau to the mix doesn’t change that. Sure, you can compare him to Biden, but comparing both to Putin is disingenuous.

It’s like saying a papercut and a severed artery are both bad. One is significantly worse than the other.

Equally bad?? Putin is trying to criminalize LGBT+ right now. What is comparable to that that Biden has ever done? That is one thing, but we could go down the list if you want.

And that’s equally as bad as personally launching one in Ukraine? Do you see the difference or are we that tone-deaf? lol

To say that there’s no difference whatsoever is being a bit obtuse only for the sake of defending an argument to absurdity

Launching a war vs. funding a war is basically the same thing. There’s no moral high ground there.

You Americans are going to be constantly saddled with shit politicians. Your choice is Fascism or Fascism lite. Time for a revolution I’d say.
