Seriously though, internet seems to me to be like a shopping mall and websites tend to be store fronts in the past few years. Search engines have to survive too and tend to be the mall directory. If it wasn’t for the fediverse I’d hardly visit any websites.
If you have any suggestions on how I and others could improve our browsing experience, I would be grateful.
i mean… they link to the websites that info was crawled from. And this only applies to their search engine’s ai summarizer feature which has existed for quite a while now, not the browser. And bing/chatgpt/others are equally as worse, why the hate on brave specifically?
as a user this only benefits you, you should only really be worried as a content creator, and this only applies to their search engine’s ai summarizer feature (which you can disable)
As I user, how does this impact me?
Websites become less profitable and need to show more ads to survive.
And Brave blocks ads. The circle closes itself.

That’s why I use AdNauseam (a fork of uBlock but with a nicer philosophy).
