I’ll be the one to say it: kraft dinner is a bastardization of mac and cheese. Stouffer’s is a little better, but the milky-watery cheese powder glop is nasty as hell.
with all due respect, kraft dinner is in fact the most valid mac and cheese. other cheap boxes of noodles and cheese powders are also acceptable. real cheese has no place in mac and cheese.
I showed this to my husband and asked him if he would like this. Turns out rice with sides of raw chicken and apple sauce get a shudder and gag.

I dunno I don’t think a meal completely devoid of texture is what most texture first people go for.

I think they’re saying the whole meal has a “soft” texture. The theme of the meal is soft, thus it’s thematically soft.
Sounds like a Hallmark Christmas movie…
