I can’t really think of a reason for that as Reddit is hated somewhat equally by “both” sides of the spectrum. It’s just something I find interesting.

    I think that’s an oversimplification as there is an outright fascist in Hungary, a borderline fascist in Italy and a growing in power far right in a lot of Europe. In addition the USA is 2 years away from giving up democracy completely.

    If you think the West as a whole is trending progressive you aren’t paying attention

      Still, don’t conservative parties in the EU still believe in things like climate change, heathcare, workers rights, etc?

      Aren’t they more isolationist (pro Russian), against immigration (hard to blame them there), and anti checks and balances (fuck that)?

        That really depends on the nation. At this moment some are more pro-democracy than others. The ones that are trending towards fascism are less likely to support workers rights
