A new desk chair. I can finally lean back and change the height now. My old one I had for 6 years couldn’t lean back and the adjustable height was only a 3" difference (wtf).

A nice bicycle. I’ve easily ridden 2000 km this year on it, improving my fitness, saving me money on transportation and providing me lots and lots of entertainment.

The only problem is that I’m hooked now, and I will definitely be upgrading to an even better bike. Oh well.

Same here! No idea how much I’ve ridden this year but probably 100s of miles. Not looking forward to the upcoming winter. Might still try to ride but between the ice and cold, it may be a bit more difficult.

I got myself one of the Trek hybrids. It’s a nice choice for an entry level commuter bicycle, but now that I’m hooked I’m in the market for a road bike with some higher quality components.

    There are a few.

1, my Mavercade KeebBrawler-01, which has been pretty comfy for Street Fighter 6, which itself I can’t count as my own best purchase since it was gifted to me.

2, Monolith M1070C headphones. They’re the first pair of closed-back headphones I’ve ever had that I don’t hate wearing for extended periods.

3, Final Fantasy 14. My girlfriend’s been playing since its initial release, and some of my other friends collectively convinced me to join. In the last couple weeks I’ve already put somewhere in the range of 50 hours into it and it’s been a good way to bond with everyone.

Tesla Model Y. Easily the best car I’ve owned so far, but also about twice as expensive as my previous one. Saving on gas compensates it some, but not a lot.

Also I got some Staub cast iron stuff. They’re awesome.

My bidet. My girlfriend has Crohn’s so not only does it get its fair share of use, it’s the best feeling

Bought a CTS-V2. Daily it and smile every time I drive it. 14mpg on a good day and I give no fucks. Love it and would be another if something happened to it. Life is short, enjoy it.

A robot vacuum. Just a cheap no-brand one and it’s by no means perfect but does actually help with day-to-day cleaning. Meaning I can get away manually vacuuming way less often.

      Robot vacuums are great.

One downside–if you have animals that are in the house/in rooms when you are not, don’t put the robot vacuum on a set schedule. If the animal poos/vomits/etc. the robot vacuum will streak it all across the room because it won’t detect it and stop.

Source: I had a robot vacuum, a roomie with cats, and the roomie’s cat crapped on my rug when I was at work. I came home to robot-created cat-poo skidmarks all across the carpet.

A used rtx 3070 so I can play apex terribly and ignore my ever increasing backlog in smoother graphics.

Sounds stupid compared to other stuff here, but a Traxxas TRX-4M 1/18 RC Scale Crawler. I bought it on a whim and then got into modifying it. I’ve been putting in a bit of money, but it’s super fun to play with it and it gets me out of the house to explore the neighbourhood for some good places to crawl it.

Not stupid at all, I consider all my RCs to be great purchases.

Never thought it’s gonna be so much fun! Now I wanna get into rock crawling and asked my friend to print me a new chassis for the TRX-4M, so fucking hyped!

        What’s your current project?

Just keep in mind printed parts are not as strong as molded parts.

No current projects, just driving them. I have two stampede, a trx-4, a drag car, and a fpv drone, all a ton of fun.

Been wearing minimalist shoes since BORN TO RUN came out. I’m not a runner, but I love 'em. Xeros, LEMS, mostly.

Read Born to Run 6 months ago, gave it a try and turns out I love running and I crave it now! Minimalists shoes make the experience much better for me.

Eufy robo vac. The cheaper model. It sets off at 3am each night and cleans the downstairs floors. Every morning I get up to a freshly vacuumed floor, it’s magical. I hate hovering so worth every penny.
