I spent 3 years working for a large bank doing appsec. I’m not proud of it, but I was the lowest performer aside from the guy who literally didn’t show up at all, and I got a real nice severance package when they laid me off (other guy got laid off that day too). I highly recommend it. Don’t work too hard. That whole team got replaced with outsourced labor, for the most part, aside from a few AI weirdos who probably got jobs on another team there.

Uhg gross, I go to a pretty conservative college in the south and I just don’t talk to people here tbh. I came here with a couple established friends and have not expanded beyond that because the first person I spoke to somehow managed to tell me within 10 minutes that he didn’t think bi people existed, thought homosexuality was gross, and that poor people just needed to work harder. TEN MINUTES! Granted he was a business major so idk what I expected but holy fuck it wasn’t that. I didn’t even know him, I was just in the dorm kitchen at 3 am and he showed up and started talking to me.
