A family friend brought over a coffee machine yesterday. He wasn’t using it and thought we’d like it. LIKE it‽ Was so excited for it when the kids sent me a pic of it on the bench… grabbed some Grinders on the way home and OMG it’s like drinking a coffee flavoured cloud!Ooooooooh fancy
Yeah, I was a coffee maker (the word “barista” wasn’t around when I started) for around 11 or 12 years but always resisted getting a machine at home because cost but also I thought I’d end up being a bit of a wanker about it 😆
Now that’s a great quality of life addition - great for the wallet too

Ouccch. Yeah I’m not feeling great about it at all but I’m thinking the same. I also still have the flexibility of a month to month lease if I stay, and moving is expensive.
It also sucks as a single person as actual minimum rent doesn’t go down much the further out you go, you just get a larger house, so no cost savings unless you go back into house sharing.

Anyone else resorting to running the heater in the morning? Im chucking on shorts and a t when i get up, but finding really I want a hoodie and trackies till 10:30/11. So Im just chucking on the heater for halfa. The solar mostly covers it anyway.
I put a beanie on yesterday morning with my shorts and T-shirt. This is how I regulate my warmth in summer. The mornings have been feeling a bit autumnal.
