Got through to bag drop with 10 minutes and 1kg to spare. Just waiting to board now… whew! I’m lucky I managed to take all these other goodies including fresh loaves from Woodfrog.

I hate these cattle class flights to the Soup, so many people who can’t follow instructions and mill around in queues trying to board first even though there’s a strict sequence

If anyone was thinking of popping in to Northcote Plaza this morning, don’t. The Aldi carpark is closed- lots of caution tape- and the rest of the joint is bedlam. Super busy and the main carpark has a real chaotic, angry energy. There were actual fights breaking out.

I only wanted to return my overdue library books!

Park behind the library next to the housing commission - you can get in through the driveway on the left of the library/medical centre from Separation St. Pain to get in and out but unlikely to be cordoned off as on the other side of Sep St.

Yep, the ol’ secret Northcote Library carpark. Super limited but a godsend because it’s so much more convenient.

If you’re just dropping off books you could swing down to Fairfield. You can return books to any Library in the network

You’d think I’d have plenty of time with a flight departing at 12 noon but somehow I left things til the super last minute. Have checked in online but ETA is 20 minutes prior to bag drop closing… Thoughts and prayers that there’s no crashes or bad traffic on the way 😭

    Civic duty ✅️

Climate change denier outside the voting centre yelled out, “Climate change isn’t real, prove me wrong,” and stared me dead in the eyes. I wanted to give him the lesson that the Year 7s will be doing in a few weeks, but I was ill-prepared lol. Next election, I’m coming for ya old mate

Also the amount of paper wasted is insane to me.

Smiths thin & crispy chips - sour cream and chives flavour - my intellect knows that this is not a proper meal, but my stomach begs leave to differ. Maybe the glass of wine has impaired my stomach’s judgment.

I’m over it, all these short weeks. Knocks my pay too much and the production schedule is all out of wack.

Had another crap sleep. I’m so tired today.

Also need to make another trip to get a beanie, lost mine recently and it’s going to be cold next week.

I’m failing to taste any chocolate from my Cadbury Crunchy Chocolate Easter Bunny. It’s taken me two goes at eating his ears and all I taste is sugar. I don’t think it’s me.

Easter choc of any sort is a built-in disappointment. Tinfoil is no substitute for flavour. Gave up on it years back. Have never regretted it. Wait a couple of weeks and get yourself some of the good stuff and enjoy!

It was so good that I went back to get more and there wasn’t any left. It’s good I found something else I like since they took my Malteser bunnies from me. I’m still dirty about that.

Careful now. With 2 partial ears it might be able to still hear you. Try the feet next so it won’t chase you.

But yea cadbury has gone downhill for a while now :(

Bugger. House is a no, I’ve withdrawn my application. The current tenant was there and very informative. Cooling is broken and the landlord has been refusing to fix it, heating is a bit dodgy too. Looks like they bought it 7 years ago and failed to do even the bare minimum maintenance since then.

So back to square 1 ☹️

Bugger. That tenant is a dead set legend though. I guess you are sadly getting the full brunt of what renting is like now. Mad prices for poorly maintained holes, lying abound…

Yeah, some of it is not good. I did go to another place this afternoon which was really great. But it also had about 30 people at the inspection, and I heard one women asking if she can still make an offer of higher rent. So I don’t think I have any chance at that one, but at least it was not a depressing hellhole.

I have another inspection lined up for Saturday, and a few for Tuesday. Trying to keep track of them all, plus whether I have inspecte/applied for etc. is becoming a challenge.

Oh well, worst case scenario I end up living in the van, which is really quite roomy…

It’s an urgent repair that should have been done ASAP. The fact that it’s not done, plus the fact the agent is not even on top of what type of heating and cooling are in the property, is a major red flag.

Yeah. There were a bunch of other things wrong too which I could have lived with (primarily cosmetic stuff, like damaged paint and old carpet). It was pretty concerning that the real estate agent didn’t even seem to know what the heating and cooling in the property actually were, they were advertising things as current that had obviously been replaced years ago, and even the replacements were broken!

I did get to pat the owner’s puppy though, so there was some good.

Sounds like you managed to dodge a bad one there.

Maybe you need Mr Woof to sniff out the bad ones.
