If the US could be just deranged enough to get companies to increase their Canada presence and actually give pay parity across the border, that would be great. I would vote for whoever pushes the US right up to that edge without going overboard “invade Canada” yada yada yada.

Maybe eventually the Does Not Care Corporation might start to be the people’s and working class party again and stop being chasers. But until then, I have to vote 3rd party.

They might call me a spoiler or project other tantrums, but 3rd parties are the only ones offering universal healthcare, a peace dividend, a living wage, and not actively or passively criminalizing our fellow queer and trans comrades.

It might take [a few election cycles] or you might not personally like the 3rd party candidates, but suck it up buttercup.

I live in a red state where Biden has no chance of winning, along with pretty much all of the Democratic candidates at any position they run in.

If the Dems gave two shits about getting out the vote for “team blue” then they’d spend all their time and money setting up and running mutual aid groups for the unhoused, under employed, people without affordable eye/dental/hearing care, getting transgender people things like minor surgeries/hormones, getting pregnant people proper heathcare or abortion services, offices open 24 hours staffed with people who’s sole purpose is to get anybody that walks in the door every cent of government assistance that can be squeezed out …

Instead, the Dems do the same shit they accuse the third parties of doing, just throwing some rando candidates on a ballot every 2~4 years who magically appear in public about 4 months before any election and dissolve into mist the day after the voting is done.
