PSA: Mernda & Hurstbridge lines part suspended due to fatality incident at Jolimont Station. Buses replacing trains to Clifton Hill, then delayed services on both lines. Best find another way to get home tonight. Was on the station at the time and saw the incident. Not nice at all.
Hopefully will be fixed by the end of the football match at MCG, but don’t bet on it.

Have done about 80m of the new watering system and just hit it with 600kPa kapow mfer! Take that!

It took it… that’s great. Starting to feel a bit more confident it’ll be at worst a moderate to good design.

But hearing water course through them pipes was satisfying.

All i need now are the pressure reducers / backlfow, filters, air + flush valve thingos and that’s the first 1/3rd done.

Not excited for my doc appointment because I have a feeling I have tendonopathy in my wrist. Hopefully because I’ve gone to the doctor earlier than I did with my leg that it’ll be fine, because yeah I can’t remember if I said it but I am probably going to have to do surgery on my leg it’s just not getting any better.

I am such a nong! Didn’t set up a reminder to chuck a cursory amount to grow my savings balance for two whole months and missed out on like $400 of the bonus interest which is why I signed up for this account in the first place 😭 I could’ve really used that! Talk about stupid tax…

…oh well, can’t turn back time, have put in a reminder now; I’ll get this month’s at least. After that, one time chunk coming out to buffer me for the rest of this year, and every month after I’ll be trying to get as much interest as I can out of the remainder.

I don’t know why I didn’t before, because all my bills etc are automated, but I’ve put in a reminder atm instead of an auto payment because while bills need to come out on a set day and are stuck in a separate account, I kinda want to make use of the flexibility with the bonus interest transfer since sometimes I’ve juggled things around a bit and don’t want the transfer accidentally coming out of the wrong account… okay it isn’t a really good excuse. I’ll just chuck in an auto payment but ALSO a reminder a day before so that I don’t accidentally go into overdraft

Was it interesting? Didn’t make it to the actual island last time I was there. Port Arthur is a fascinating place.

What else are you checking out in Tassie?

      • Cracker of a day weather wise. Tour guide told tales of various people buried on the island. The whole area was a fascinating place in general. My first time there. We have a limited time in Hobart so booked various dinners, Salamanca tomorrow, MONA Sunday, taking care of personal business in the area. Just a long weekend really and been really great so far.😊

After the series of big days this week I really just don’t want to… do… anything today. But I know that could be the beginning of a spiral that I’ll feel shitty about later. Alright. I’ll finish unpacking my bags (done), and start clearing out my work devices. I REALLY need to flash a new ROM on my personal phone, I’ve been procrastinating on that for years. Might not get all the way but if I can download the ROM and find the instructions on backing everything up, that’s a start. And finally, I gotta set up a withdrawal from my savings to cover my rent and bills till the end of the year.

E: between last week and this, air purifiers have already crept up in price (or rather, old deals are ending). Gonna grab one asap.

It sounds like I’m going to have to break lease and move.

Housemate is not dealing well with uni, and keeps ranting about wanting to fight someone. When I told them to turn the tv down from arsehole levels at 6am, he started punching up the clothes horse.

Whoohoo! MRI results came back and the neurologist says all clear. Well, his exact words were “there’s nothing major” but I’ll take that as a good thing. Also my psych appointment for the ADHD assessment has been brought forward from November to next week. I hope they confirm it because it would explain a hell of a lot and I can get finally get treatment.

I cried when I got my ADHD diagnosis. And my psychiatrist was like “don’t cry!” And I’m like “happy tears!”. It’s such a great feeling! Though of course, you have to grapple with the idea that “oh my god this explains everything. I didn’t have to struggle through life!” And then you get sad again.

SPUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDD. I went past the bar a coupla hours back and saw a beautiful woman with longish blonde hair getting chatted up by a few guys. Was considering calling out Spud but didn’t want to embarrass you. 🤭 True story.
