Just taking a wild guess here. Maybe they’re bound to the screen width of the device rather than pixels? so they stay the same

That image has a
max-width:100%
css parameter, unticking that lets me zoom it. It has nothing to do with firefox, this is the way that website is written, it behaves the same way in any other browsers.Content deleted by creator due to lemmy.ml tolerating brigades from hexbear
There are addons for this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/styl-us/
You can load custom css with userscripts. My favorite userscript manager is ViolentMonkey but there are others: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/violentmonkey/

W3schools has a very beginner friendly CSS tutorial: https://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
You can learn the basics, it would help understand a bit more how the internet works, and solve issues like this.

As others said, this is normal behavior on desktop. However, Firefox does support the kind of zoom that you’re looking for, i.e. just scaling everything up like on mobile.
If you happen to have a touchscreen or touchpad, simply pinch with two fingers to get that kind of zoom, as you would do on a mobile screen.
If you’re using a scrollwheel instead, you can follow these instructions: https://superuser.com/a/1735635Content deleted by creator due to lemmy.ml tolerating brigades from hexbear
