  • This is exactly what Ted Bundy did when his first love dumped him.

He fell for a woman called Diane Edwards while in college, and they dated for about a year. She was everything he thought a woman should be; beautiful, smart, successful, and from a well-off family. She dumped him because she saw him as “pitifully weak”. Psychologists believe, and Bundy himself all but confirmed, that this was the catalyst that would fuel his homicidal rage towards women. It’s also believed that Diane heavily influenced the type of women he killed; young white college students with brown hair parted in the middle. He began killing women the same year Diane dumped him.

Five years later he was married and living a double life as a serial killer. During this time, he sought out and reconnected with Diane behind his wife’s back, and Diane was impressed with his transformation. He was on the cusp of a successful legal and political career, and he seemed a lot more masculine and sure of himself. She was smitten and wanted to pursue the relationship. They even got as far as discussing marriage. That’s when Bundy dumped her and cut off all contact with her, getting his “corrective experience” moment, which clearly did nothing to heal the trauma of rejection that spurred one of the most terrifying episodes of serial murder in history.

Elon Musk doesn’t need to beat the bullies to get closure. He needs therapy. Or rather, he needed therapy, and he needed it many years ago. At this point, he’s in his “dumping Diane” phase, where he’s already hurt so many people and he’s so far gone that no amount of therapy would help him. He’s already too addicted to the monster he’s become to ever want to heal himself. His need to have these corrective experiences, like Bundy with Diane, is strictly to feed the monster’s ego.

  • Under the right director, with the right story, Jared Leto can be absolutely brilliant. There are plenty of examples of this, from ‘Requiem for a Dream’ to ‘Dallas Buyers Club’. Unfortunately, the stars have to align perfectly for him to be anything other than a cringe factory of hammy over-acting. I don’t know who is directing the new Tron, but the odds of them being the right person to pull a good performance out of Leto are not great. I’d like to be wrong, and I hope I am, but probably not. He’s probably going to chew the scenes in the worst way, as he usually does, and be the worst part of the movie, as he usually is.

  • He’s a bad actor and he knows it. He knows, and doesn’t care one bit, that his previous comments contradict his current comments. Everything these people say is in service to making their people look good and right, and making your people look bad and wrong. That’s literally the only goal. You will never win an argument with them or embarrass them, because facts don’t matter to them and they have no shame. Words mean nothing to them. Words are just a weapon and they are fighting a guerilla war.

  • “There are, there are methods which you could do it, as you know,”

    Those methods are:

Serving as VP, followed by ascension - The 12th Amendment says no one ineligible to be president can be VP, but the 22nd Amendment only bars election to a third term, not holding office. Trump could potentially be Vance’s (or someone else’s) VP, then that President resigns, making Trump president for a third term without being elected. This is legally untested and would be widely challenged. It doesn’t seem like a route Trump would take.

Repealing the 22nd Amendment - This requires the proposal and ratification of a new amendment. This new amendment must be passed by a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress, or by a constitutional convention called by two-thirds of state legislatures, followed by ratification from three-fourths of the states. This is an unlikely path for Trump to take. Even with massive cheating, he would never get the numbers in his favor.

Ignoring the 22nd Amendment - AKA the “what the fuck you gonna do” method, which the Trump regime has employed with great success in lots of other areas. This is almost certainly what he means.

Any other method to remain president, such as declaring martial law, declaring a national emergency, using the Insurrection Act, etc, would basically be a military coup that would spark a civil war and Balkanize the US.
