You’ve got more than three. There’s the A-hole, P-hole, V-hole, M-hole, two N-holes, and two E-holes. Then there are the manufactured holes: two H-holes when you make a fist, a TT-hole if you squeeze them together, a BB-hole if you’re on the heavy side, and two T-holes for those with foot fetishes. There are up to 3 bonus holes if you have one or more of the various medical stoma, and two extra bonus holes if you’re blind and have prosthetic eyes.
But you can get by with only one if you tie those sausages together end-to-end.
Someone wants me dead
Could the slot fit this accessory?
It would no longer be the world-view destroying event that it would have have been 100 years ago. The moment someone came up with the idea of a matter-energy transporter, we had the idea of how someone could come back from the dead. Today we know exactly how it would be done - we just lack the technology.
Why not just buy a sensor without the IR filter? They aren’t expensive. Or use an HD security camera that doesn’t have one? If you remove the filter from a phone’s camera, normal picture quality will suffer.
I don’t think most people realize how dependent we are on undocumented workers. Wait until it becomes illegal to hire them and INS roundups start again. Then the carwash price goes up, the daycare closes, or the landscaper goes missing. Maybe the snow doesn’t get plowed or the restaurant prices go up because they can’t find cheap kitchen help. Construction-related companies will be decimated, and the cost of home repairs/remodeling will skyrocket. In my area, electric rates will increase because half of the crews that keep the vegetation trimmed back from the power lines are undocumented.
They’ll come for the employed undocumented workers first, because they can make it illegal to hire them, just like it used to be 50 years ago. No green card, no work.
I also find their “discoveries” more interesting than a treasure that I find improbable. If they actually find solid evidence that the Money Pit is a human construction, it begs the question of why pre-industrial people would spend the resources to create it.
By the earliest accounts, McGinness (and the original “kids”) gave up after digging 30 feet. It wasn’t until the Onslow group that they excavated down to 90 feet.
I would accept that the original pit was a natural sinkhole except for the coconut fiber evidence. As we all know, palm trees don’t grow in that region. Coconut fiber, called coir, was a common trade item because it was used like hemp. Common applications were rope, mattress stuffing, and matting. It can also be mixed with pitch to make a substitute for oakum - a common material used to waterproof ships hulls.
Damn. That would be me!
My GF worked for a thrift shop, and when I picked her up after work she was admiring a 2 foot statue of Venus that had just been donated. So I bought it for her. That evening she was cleaning it up and noticed the wooden box at the foot of the figurine was hinged, but locked. I opened it with a bent paper clip and inside was a bag containing - a butt plug and anal beads. Then we figured out that if you twisted the head, it pulled a dildo out of the body.
I always wondered why they say “front toward enemy” and not “this side toward enemy”. Because some idiot won’t know front from back.
When video or audio evidence is submitted, it will be questioned as to its authenticity. Who recorded it? On what device? Then we’ll look for other corroborating evidence. Are there other videos that captured the events in the background of the evidence video? Are there witnesses? Is there contradictory evidence?
Say there’s a video depicting a person committing murder in an alley. The defense will look for video from the adjoining streets that show the presence or absence of the murderer before or after. If those videos show cars driving by with headlights on, they will look for corresponding changes in the luminosity of the crime video. If the crime happened in the daytime, they will check that the shadows correspond to Sun’s position at that moment. They’ll see if the reflections of objects match the scene. They’ll look for evidence that the murderer was not at the scene. Perhaps a neighbor’s surveillance camera shows they were at home or their cell phone indicated they were someplace else.
But if all these things indicate the suspect was in the alley and the video is legitimate, that’s powerful evidence toward a conviction.
There’s no doubt that US sizes have become more generous. Size measurements have increased over the years by about 2 inches. A size 10 from the 50’s fits like a size 8 today. A medium shirt is closer to a large from 70 years ago.
We won’t have a clear winner. No matter which candidate “wins”, there will be widespread allegations of voter fraud. There will be protests. Biden will declare a national emergency. What happens after that? I don’t know. But I am prepared for major social unrest.
A large number of people from both major parties are absolutely unwilling to accept a win by the opposing candidate. I’ve never seen the country so divided.
Electronics are pretty reliable. Cheap mechanical parts are not. High end systems are be able to withstand the rigors of setup and takedown, dusty environments, and frequent transportation. If you keep a cheap mixer indoors and cover the controls with a dropcloth to minimize dust, it should last quite a while.
Aircraft are generally not required to accept surrender unless it is apparent that the surrendering soldiers have removed themselves from the conflict (disarmed) and are headed toward your lines (intent to give up). Even then it’s a judgment call if the aircraft is incapable of escorting them to nearby ground troops who can accept their surrender and take them into custody. That’s why you see videos of unarmed soldiers making the surrender gestures and they still get taken out by the drone. They’re too far behind enemy lines to facilitate taking them prisoner.
I snipped the antenna lead from the cellular modem on my Hyundai. No more built-in road assistance, remote start, or emergency unlocking, but I then never signed up to pay for those features. The car can’t phone home anymore. I connect my phone to the infotainment system to allow navigation, and the phone has an Internet DNS filter that prevents connections to Hyundai’s servers.
That will have to suffice until we get full digital privacy rights.
Wirecutters do wonders for privacy.
Once we stopped being regularly exposed to pathogens associated with raw unrefrigerated meat, we lost our immunity.
Think of it like traveling to a country with low water quality standards. If you drink the water, you get cramps and diarrhea. The locals have immunity and their babies have immunity because antibodies to the pathogens are passed in mother’s milk. That gives the babies enough immunity to avoid illness when they start drinking the water. Frequent subsequent exposure to the pathogens maintains their immunity.
But if a person with immunity moves to an area with higher quality water and then moves back after many years, they can experience intestinal distress from the water because they lost their immunity.
