Pretty simply put, what you get when you take a fan and put a chilled/frozen water bottle in front of it. Say a fan in about the same housing looking like a portable airco with water being dripped in the airflow instead of using a coolant in a radiator to cool the air flowing trough.
I’m using a cooling element in the water to keep it cool. Those come from the fridge. The cooler came with to elements you can fill with water and put in the freezer, but I prefer to use the elements I already have.

It’s a cheaper way to get the temp 1-2 degrees © lower instead of freezing your *** off in dehumidified air.
