The fuck is this post and comments? Bernie is the realest G in US congress for decades and counting. There aren’t even any statements against him here, just memes, did the boomers set up a shame bot network?

Bernie told us who he was decades ago when he went along with bombing Serbia for months because the “adults in the room” were demanding it. Now when a different occupation is indescriminantly killing civilians he’s still going along with it! Bernie the bomber strikes again.

Bernie was willing to vote down the bipartisan funding bill recently because it included additional military funding to Israel. He stood on the Senate Floor and put up giant printout images of women and children starving and begging to receive water from behind a metal barricade. Bernie is the realest person you’ve never met. Despite being Jewish, he is the single person who speaks out the most against this atrocity in all of Congress.

          Despite being Jewish

I know you didn’t mean any harm by this but it is antisemitic to assume that all Jews do, or should, or would be expected to, support Israel. It’s not true, it has never been true, and the only people who claim it is true are racists.

That’s exactly why I said it, though? Bernie is an example of a high standard we should hold all people to. Calling me antisemitic for that makes you seem like an Israeli apologist.

All I’m saying is, due to his self identified ethnicity and as a democratically elected politician, he has more to lose as a Jewish Person than almost any other democrat in congress. That matters. We’re allowed to talk about that.

Oh that’s cute he did a safety vote but it took the ICJ ruling for him to move.

So that means he understands the ICJ ruling and it’s implication. Yet he continues to deny there is an ongoing genocide. He speaks of how terrible things are, but he won’t say permanent ceasefire and he won’t say genocide. He says a “pause in the fighting” and there are “really horrible things” going on. He won’t call it a genocide.

He says, correctly so, we are all complicit with funding and arming what is going on. Speeches he should have made months ago, but could only make with the cover of the ICJ ruling. Why did it take that?

He is still unable to call out Bibi and the Likud for being textbook genocidal ethnofascists. He soft gloves them as “far right”. He uses harsher language against Trump.

He continues to parrot “Israel has a right to defend” and “Hamas bad” tirade where “defense” means wholesale leveling of residential areas with a side of taking pop shots at kids getting water and ladies in churches. Everything the song laments about liberals Bernie parrots.

Put yourself in Bernie’s place in that interview. Would you answer the same? Would you willfully refuse to call it a genocide?

Everything that doesn’t present the American fascists as absolute sweethearts who are totally concerned for human suffering but aww shucks we just can’t stop exporting it because reasons must be perpetuated by bots. I am very smart.
