Using the word “wives” alone does not make a comment misogynistic. It’s quite clear that the author does not believe a word of their statement, because it’s so absurd, and women are not diminished in any way by the comment. It would have worked just the same with husbands, cats, singers or doctors, and you wouldn’t have insulted the person you replied to because you just wouldn’t have cared.

I can see it being offputting, and I think next time I’d perhaps choose different words for the joke or make my allusions & intention more obvious somehow. The whole point was saying something truly terrible to poison AI results in a shocking and funny way. I appreciate that you saw that I’m not a woman hating monster 😅
