So there’s this stretch I know. It’s performed while standing. You get into like a partial sat position, imagine you were trying to hover over a manky toilet but you had to go. So once you’re in the half way to taking a dump position, place your hands on your upper thighs, then push down on your thighs with your hands. Start light to see how it goes for you. The theory is that it allows you to lengthen your own spine by pushing your shoulders and hips away from each other.

I’ve done this injury at gym too many times. Osteo massage speeds up recovery. I have a massage gun and use that to loosen the lower back up. Otherwise it’s just time.

Caught up with a mate today - we are both job hunting and they said they recently applied for a role, got through three interview stages, completed the reference check (from what they confirmed this was all positive feedback), but were then told the position ended up going to someone internal…this does not fill me with much confidence.

So just watched the new Fincher movie “The Killer” and it was mid, which is pretty unusual. Anyway besides the original contributions to the soundtrack by Reznor and Ross, the movie was riddled with Morrissey classics.

So anyway, I relay this very important information about Morrissey to MrsGod and she says, “Who?”

I’m still trying to gather my jaw from floor. Shits wild.

Please admire my premium instant noodles with the best fucking noodles and coconut curry flavour (dried tofu pieces thrown in later).

It is so special that you actually need to follow special instructions: add the curry paste and powdered coconut milk sachets in that order to 500ml water, bring to a boil, then cook the noodles in the curry broth 😋

Jazz it up with some veggies and garnish and you’d think I made the real thing. I wish these didn’t cost like 4-5 AUD each here. Truly god tier. Like, the list of ingredients in the curry paste is legit, theres about 20 spices/herbs in it, and these noodles are unbeatable.

Some good ones already mentioned. I will add The Bridge (original Swedish version), Fargo (the movie), Bodies, Happy Valley. I really liked Happy Valley and it definitely meets the brief of strong female lead, but also one that feels more real, a character that is sometimes flawed and has to deal with a bunch of complicated shit in life.

Let’s say there was a brand new Earth, uninhabited by humans, and you were to be placed in one location of your choosing. You have one backpack of survival gear. Where would you choose to be placed and why?

Bonus question: would you do it if offered today?

Oddly enough, I think I’d choose Melbourne - before the ecosystem was ruined in the 19th century it was quite a nice place to live off the land. Very productive. Good water. Lots of yam daisies and koalas to eat and fish and things. Rich in natural resources like clay and wood. Good stone for tools not far away. Pack would have to include a puffer jacket to last until I’d eaten enough possums to make me a possum skin cloak.
Would not accept offer for today.

Picking Melbourne out of any other geographical location on earth is certainly a choice…

Somewhere tropical so I can fish and there’s no irritating pollens. I would need about a week to pack.

Amazing! Also, hi it’s me, your sister

Hehe jokes aside, how much did that cost? Is it easy to maintain? I might look into getting one for my desk.

You may not enjoy the answer of how much this one cost… although you can buy kits to make your own quite cheaply and there were cheaper but not as nice options at the terrarium shop. This one was $190.

As for maintaining, apparently you water them once a month. There was a card with a QR code on it to go get maintenance info but I didn’t check it, just gave it to my sister.

Looking at the quality of the components, the plants, the jar, the base and top, and how well it’s been made I think it’s good value. Plus it’s really nice. 😍

Wow that looks cool! I remember terrariums were soooo popular when I was a kid (70s-80s) and I’m happy to see the return of this trend.
