Technically even ripping your Blu-rays can be illegal.
I’d just argue corporations are people now so this is a civil matter.
Speak for yourself. I pirate because i’ve been burned too many times on shitty over hyped games that dont run well. I always “demo” a game now.
arr suite works 10000% better with usenet.
it sounds like you never used it right. everything that exists on usenet or torrents can be found on irc.
i hang out on irc.scenep2p.net
http://sunxdcc.com/?sterm=MIRC#networks has list of piracy related ones
Hexchat requires a plugin to enable SSL and Quassel requires you to install certificates. AdiRC just works right out of the box. Hexchat and Quassle did get some discussion in the last big thread.
I’d curious to see your setup for pirating on Hexchat thou. Nothing wrong with more options.
You tried with what program?
probably nothing besides the cost. same thing happened to TOR.

there’s not too many around theses days but the ones around work well. You can also check my post history for a writeup i did on IRC piracy.
Ok one russian tracker supports it as of 2 days ago if you git clone master. it’s not released yet
Side question. is it possible to make a instance that disables pictures and videos all together?
qBitorrent and Bigly BT both support v2, just waiting on the trackers to update. (hint: they won’t)

In america you are legally allowed backups of any software you’ve bought.
Can I backup my computer software?
Yes, under certain conditions as provided by section 117 of the Copyright Act. Although the precise term used under section 117 is “archival” copy, not “backup” copy, these terms today are used interchangeably. This privilege extends only to computer programs and not to other types of works. Under section 117, you or someone you authorize may make a copy of an original computer program if the new copy is being made for archival (i.e., backup) purposes only; you are the legal owner of the copy; and any copy made for archival purposes is either destroyed, or transferred with the original copy, once the original copy is sold, given away, or otherwise transferred.
kinda funny how gaming pirates and movie pirates differ. Gaming pirates always say buy it if you like it.
i honestly chuckled out loud at this.
I obsess over time and im always exactly 15mins early wherever i go.
Good project. Way overkill for my use cases.
reporting is useless if they can just make a new account and re-post it.
