Hoenn is my favorite region. Emerald is my nostalgia game. What you say is fair and valid. Early game movesets don’t feel good at all. If it’s within your means, I would suggest trying Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire. It feels much better to play through. If you never want to see Hoenn again, then no shame in that. :)

For me personally, it’s a combination of factors. A non zero number of my exes lost interest after a while and it damaged my ego pretty badly. Dating Apps are a string of getting ghosted with the occasional date that leads to me paying for drinks and dinner, only to get ghosted. I’ve always been a shy person and I can only handle so much failure before I don’t want to play anymore. I missed out on the high school and college dating scenes and it shows. There is one common denominator in all of my dating failures and it’s me.

My statements weren’t meant to be adversarial and don’t take this as disagreeing because I don’t. I’m on board with that. If you support Amazon, you’re complicit in exploiting the working class people that get exploited by the company. If you don’t support Amazon, those same workers are going to get fired to make sure profits still go up. Most people know on some level that Amazon fucks over it’s workers but that has not stopped a lot of people from ordering more cheap garbage they don’t need.

Across Amazon’s network, there are millions of orders a day. The sentiment of deleting your account is nice but it’s a drop in the ocean. Unless there is a major societal shift, this serves no other purpose than to make yourself feel better by not supporting the business. It’s admiral and way to go taking a principled position but meter your expectations. The sheer vitriol thrown at the Warehouse employees by the customer base is truly sad. As others have stated, AWS is inescapable.

Rocked a lot of Guild Wars 2 and Pokemon today. In Guild Wars, I just unlocked my Skyscale(Flying mount) and I’ve been cruising around my favorite zones doing some sight seeing. I also found my 1st Gen 3DS and got it cleaned up and updated.

It isn’t necessarily in the same vein, but I bought myself an Analogue Pocket and Pokemon Emerald for Christmas. No Battle pass. No 10 year olds telling me they slept with my mother. No slurs getting hurled my way. It’s a simple setup, but I’m loving every second of it. Plus, playing old arcade games is a trip I’ve got my laptop for Guild Wars 2, Elden Ring, and DRG when the mood strikes me. It’s a simple gaming life these days and I’m loving it :)

The most recent time I watched the TV version it was, “Yippee Ki-yay, my friend”.

All of the Souls games kinda have an easy mode baked in. Ranged weapons/Sorceries generally provide an easier experience. Honestly though, I just find I don’t really care if there is an easy mode or not. I enjoyed the challenge and if a difficulty slider was added, it would not have detracted from my experience in the slightest. I played through the games for the challenge and I enjoyed it immensely. If someone else doesn’t enjoy the challenge, then that’s okay. I’m not going to gatekeep them. We’re all SunBro’s at our core and I will always drop my Summon Sign for others in need to find
